CellCrown™is a disposable inserts, which can be loaded with researcher´s own sample material and fits to most common standard wel l plates. Further dimensional information is provided in the table. CellCrown™ immobilizes the sample firmly during cell culturing and change of media is easy without disturbing the culturing area. CellCrown™ inserts are made of medical grade polycarbonate polymer (MSDS).
The sample can be attached with non-sterile CellCrown™ insert and sterilized with gamma or e-beam radiation, ethylene oxide gas, plasma or autoclave.
Sterile CellCrown™ is ready for use immediately in cell culturing. Sterile CellCrown™ is sterilized by gamma irradiation. The standard lids of well plates can be used with CellCrown™, follow-up of samples is possible with microscope through closed lid and well plates fit to standard incubators.
Body of CellCrown™ can be used alone to push the samples down to the bottom of well including rigid bioglass fibers, thick films, textile, membranes, blocks and tissue samples.
Combination of CellCrown™ body and attachment ring is suitable for flexible samples. The sample is placed between ring and body. and it is possible to adjust height of sample in the well by moving CellCrown™ into wanted position in well. Fixing ring can be used two ways; it is looser, when the teeth are upwards and tighter, when the teeth are downwards.

CellCrown™ product portfolio contains models with the various preattached filters. It is possible to culture 2 different cell types, one on the top of filter and another in the bottom of the well. CellCrown™ with filter makes it easier to work with small particles and hydrogels. Small particles are firmly maintained in their position on the top of the filter during change of media and they are not lost with pipette. Filter helps removing the hydrogel from the well, too, if the CellCrown™ with filter is used as a mould for the hydrogel. All CellCrowns with filters are sold sterile.
